Normal People By Sally Rooney

This was an interesting read. I finished it in five sittings.

The ending caught me a bit off guard as I was expecting more. It felt similar to time skips in anime where the story suddenly jumps forward giving fresh perspectives and revealing how much characters have grown.

My takeaways

  • Clear and honest communication is important in any relationship
  • You can never truly find the person you once knew in past, not even in the same individual. Change is the ultimate truth of life
  • Small decisions can sometimes lead to life changing consequences and experiences
  • You should never commit if you are still stuck in past
  • Dynamics between commitment versus personal goals is not always easy to balance

Turns out being a “Normal Person” is pretty complicated after all 🫡🫡
